We welcome George…

Our new Growth Director, George Head, just wrapped up his first week in the office - and if this week is any indication, we’re in for an exciting and productive journey ahead!

If we can keep him off the pool table! 😬

Get to know George…

Q: What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?

A: I was woken up at three o'clock this morning to my 5 month old being sick on my back.

Q: What’s the best ad campaign you’ve ever seen?

A: My memory of really, really great adverts was the Eric Cantona Nike Football adverts. They were always really, really good. For some reason, also the R Whites Lemonade commercial. I always thought it was Elvis Costello, but I'm not sure if it was. Does this make me sound really old? The Gen Z's will have no idea what i'm talking about....

Q: If you could have dinner with any celebrity, who would it be?

A: Just one. Just one celebrity. That is a great question. Dead or alive? (Alive George) Yeah, you make a good point. Oh, Jonathan Agnew. (Oh, really, The football dude?) No, no, it's cricket. I'm a big cricket fan.

Q: What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?

A: I once decided to go traveling to Thailand, and my mate had been there already, he told me that I should go to one specific island. So on the back of a receipt that we got in a pub, he drew a version of the island and then marked this place with a little dot. I took that to Thailand, found the island and then had to try and find this place from it. I followed it off the back of this receipt. This was before the, well, the internet had just come about but there was certainly no maps or GPS. We found it but we had to climb over rocks for the last mile or so.

Q: Whats the most-used app on your phone ?

A: Probably Instagram, but that's terrible. So I'll say, Spotify.

Q: What’s your role at Proctimise, and what excites you most about it?

A: I'm really looking forward to generally working with Ross. I've known Ross for a number of years and looking forward to growing the business and hopefully seeing it change the face of Marketing Procurement.

Q: How did you get into your career field?

A: I had recently left my previous role and looking to start up my own new thing. I came to see Ross and asked him a few questions about starting up a business because I know him to be a wise bloke, and he said, well, why don't you come and do some work for us? And I thought, sounds like a great idea. So, here I am.

Q: What’s your favourite project or achievement in your career so far?

A: That's a great question. I was once, I joined a company, and on my first day, the sales team were changing from commission based on gross to commission based on net, and half of the team left that day. I was handed a ton of accounts. I had to renegotiate all of the contracts on these accounts by an increase of about 20 to 25%. And I kept, I think I kept six of the seven accounts, and they were major accounts. So that was a really, really fun first couple of weeks at the company.

Q: What do you hope to achieve or bring to Proctimise?

A: Growth - lots and lots of growth…

Q: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone joining Proctimise?

A: My bit of advice would be, be a sponge, listen as much as you can, learn as much as you can, and hopefully you like lunch from Morrison's.

Rapid Fire round!

Q: Early-mornings or Late-nights?

A: Late-nights

Q: Sandcastle or Snowman?

A: Snowman

Q: Eat-in or Dine-out?

A: Dine-out

Q: Text or Call?

A: Call

Q: Selfie or Group photo?

A: Group photo

Thanks George - and good luck!!!
